Nicotine Concentration Affecting Flavor?

So, this flavor is EVER fabulous. It is ready to go as soon as it arrives at my house and I am always SO excited to get this flavor. I order it EVERY time--even when I'm wanting to try new flavors. lol.
The last time I ordered it, I ordered it with a higher nicotine concentration and it was (sorry GC Vapor people, I love you and the work you do--especially love you for this flavor) GROSS. Like, it literally tasted like someone put out a fire with perfume and stuck the liquid in a bottle before sending it to me. And I was quite devastated over this because this flavor is literally my favorite flavor EVER. I don't know how nicotine content affects flavoring but oh my gosh, I will never get anything other than the 1.8% concentration ever, ever again.
1st purchase: [1.8% 50/50 VG/PG Add Sweetener] and fabulous
2nd purchase: [2.4% 50/50 VG/PG Add Sweetener] and burnt (just no)
3rd purchase: [1.8% 50/50 VG/PG Add Sweetener] FABULOUS again.
So, there's my (potentially) faulty hypothesis. I'm really not sure what happened that second time around but the higher nicotine concentration is all I can logically pinpoint.

I think this rates in my top five favorite juice flavors. The cinnamon and rich and (since I added sweetener) it isn't too overbearing. Will definitely buy more in the future!
